How to DIY a pencil case

Hi my dear friends,

Since I didn’t blog for a while I thought I would show you one of my favorite DIY’s. A handmade pencil case/beauty case for my mom.

You only need:

  • a sheet of felt (A4)
  • a hot glue gun
  • elastic rope (min. 60 cm)
  • a variety of decorations (a colorful ribbon, some patches, stickers, little gem stones…)
  • three buttons

The first step is to glue on a colorful ribbon onto the felt around the edges.

Secondly you place a pencil or the item you want to make the case for onto the felt where you want it then take the elastic rope and glue it down so you can take the pencil out. Next continue doing this with all the items of your case.(don’t cute of the elastic rope you will need it on there later)

Then you can turn your case over and decorate it with your decorations (patches, stickers, gems …) to give it a personal note!

As a last step you can roll your case up and take the leftover elastic rope and go around with it once. Then glue the tree buttons over eacht other and glue this button construction to the rope.

Now you can close your pencil case! I created several cases like this! Look at the results:
